Library, training room, workshop etc. is requirement for a creature to join you but after that RGN takes place. So If you have only library you can only get shamans. If you have library, workshop, forge training room etc. Then your chances for getting shamans are smaller.

Size of a room does not increase the chances of getting creatures so having 3×3 library and 30×30 library has the same chances of getting shamans. However size of a room matters when it comes to unlocking different creatures. So For example for orc to join you you need 9 tiles of training room but for Ogre to join you you need 16 tiles. so having Training room of 16 tiles means that you can get either Ogre or Orcs joining your forces.

They have all different probability levels as far as I understand the game it works something like that game throw a die to determine if someone will be joining you or not based on your dungeon dormitory size etc. Then if outcome is YES games throws again to determine what creature will it be. Say you have 90% chance for Orcs and 10% chance of Ogre game throws the 100 sided dice and if you score 91-100 you get Ogre if 1-90 you get Orc.

Numbers are from thin air in this examples as I don't really know them that well but that how it works from my observation.

So Idea is on the very beginning of your dungeon decide what creatures do you want most and if you want to focus on strong military go for training room only until you get enough orcs then exapand. If you want a lot of production go for workshop only untill you have enough goblins etc.

Okay I will be careful with all the animals and put extra control on my beast so no stupid ravens. It would be great idea Michal if we got the message telling us why it happened. Like “You got attacked by the humans of XXXXXXX as a revenge for killing their farm animals” It would really help new people understand game better.

Scratched that I died. We really need explanation why people attack you. I know some bandits attack when you have gold but why on earth wave of lizard man, then human knights in space of 10 min comes in and in next game I was raided before I even got a first fighting creature up an running.

As to question 4 different monsters have different attraction levels. So you can influence who joins your forces. If you build only training room and dormitory you will mostly end up getting orcs if you build only workshop and dormitory you will mostly get goblins.

Creatures have also certain size requirement so for example Orcs need training room of at least 12 tiles to be attracted to your dungeon.

Harpy needs it to be 16 tiles.

So if you have 3×4 room that is enough for your orcs to train it it may be good to make it bigger to attract some harpies to join you. Or you can keep it that size if you want more orcs to join you.

Maybe black marek where we can sell looted items I don't necessarily need 50 swards my goblins make if I could sell those that would make life easier.

I had the most success with going for big dromitory and big 16+tiles training room. I ended up getting tones of orcs and with them I was able to defend my base quite well. I even managed to repel green dragon admitably he probably got bored than me repeling him but still I survived. My biggest problem with this strategy is gold I ended up paying fortune for them to stay with me now I got few vampires and werewolfs and destroyed human raid easily.

As to early tree spirit it is easy to avoid just make sure you don't cut too many trees in one area and you are safe. have 3-4 zones to cut them and you will easily have enough.
