    Well, let's see, it's a Windows 8 – 64-bit Embedded Industry Pro (Build 9200) laptop.  What more do you need to know?

    Graphics card.

    That would be a AMD Radeon HD 6310.

    In a few days I'll have a new build that uses a different compiler and graphics library, we'll see if that fixes anything.

    Meanwhile, could you please check if these two versions work for you? Another player noticed a similar bug, and it started appearing between alpha 4 and 5.

    Sorry it took so long to get around to this.  My Internet hasn't been stable enough to download the past few days, but I finally got those two files downloaded.  The alpha 5 graphics look great, but the text is still just big blocks of fluff.  The alpha 4 is the same blocks of color as above.

    I'll keep a look out for the new build that uses a different compiler.  Even playing with blocks it's still fun, just can't read the text to know what to do, but it's intuitive enough that I get by, sorta.

    So in alpha 5 everything is good unless you switch to ascii? There is nothing wrong with the graphics?

    Try this build if you have a minute. It uses an updated graphics lib, SFML 2.2.

    Nope.  Just gives me a white screen, then crashes.

    Sorry, I introduced another bug in the meantime. Working on this now.
