About room efficiency

Hello,

I don't really get the best way to build a room now, with efficiency and light.
Should the torch be placed around the main room ? In the middle ? I can't place a torch on a room tile, so if i destroy a tile to place a torch, then the room is less effective.

Yes… It's effective but ugly.

So now i place one torch in the middle. It's certainly not the most effective way to do it, but it's better looking… Or also, i place torches in corner, but again it's not super effective. I'd like to place torch on the celling, but the game can't handle that i guess.

What about light “inside” the wall ? Or luminescent walls ? Or a creature walking around the room you place it, making light ?
