when there's a lot going on, like monsters running around, and 11 ravens sprawling the map, the speed drops to 0-1 fps. the main issue here is that the gui speed is yolked to the game speed.
it would be a huge perceived difference if the player could quickly look around the map and make commands while the logic is being slow. un-yolking them and allowing a faster gui at 15-30-60 fps would be great. 🙂
