What caused me to think about this:
1. Game started lagging a little
2. Saved game/exited to relog
3. loaded the auto save by accident
4. (didn’t want to save over my progress to exit), so i abandoned the game to get back to loading the most recent save.
5. *facepalmed* as realised abandoning the game deletes the save file….

The Introduction, Suggestion and Example
I understand the deletion of the saved games is necessary for the rogue like element so if i could make a suggestion to an update to this system then that would be great!

Would it be possible to only be able to load the most recent save of a campaign?

This would actually remove a cheap game exploit as well!
For example, say i make a terrible mistake and lose my best creature, i could simple save and exit then re- load the auto save to before i lost that creature!!!
But if i could only reload the latest save then the core rogue like element would be preserved!

In respect to when the games’ save malfunctions the game would try to load the latest save, then:
If : Game cannot be loaded, load other save.
If : Back up save loaded, send error report to developer + give error message explanation to player.

Conclusion
I’m hoping this upgrade to the game would be reasonably simple compared to the amazing updates in alpha 20!
