Not where to give you suggestions, so I'll just give it here.

I was just playing the new rimworld release, and when your building dragging the mouse button to make your rooms it tells you how many squares you've gone with a nice easy to see number.

so you drag the room out and it will say 5 on the vertical and 4 on the horizonal for example

I like to play the game zoomed out so I find it difficult to make the rooms exactly the size i want sometimes.  lots of counting.  If you could somehow implement your verision of the system that rimworld has it would be a vast improvement.
